Shalom: More than a Peaceful Feeling \ November 10-12th, 2023

Shalom Long

Shalom is much more than a peaceful feeling. It’s an epic journey with the requisite mystery, beauty and danger. It encompasses deprivation, loss and pain, and with these–paints a masterpiece of completion from beginning to end.

We begin in the strain of humanity and stumble through. Then, in journeying with God, our Father, we know and are known.

Many seek the peaceful feeling, but it is the soul of the steady sojourner that truly finds Shalom.

Aware \ November 5th, 2021

Deep down we know…

We are made up of material: Dust.
We are given life and cast into an epic journey: Story.
We are…AWARE.

We know all of this. We can see the dust and we tell the stories. We are here. This is real. Deep down, we know that this is special.  Even when our lives shudder with difficulty and it hurts. We know it hurts because we know something glorious and good is close–so painfully close. We are aware.

Join us for Sacred Space’s 2021 Aware Retreat with guest artist Sara Groves and become more aware…

…Of God’s presence.
…Of your capacity for joy, beauty, compassion and sorrow.
…Of dynamic relationships.

Your Healing Journey Retreat (YHJ)

We run this retreat much like Papa ran his “retreat” for Mack in The Shack by William Paul Young. We do this in three primary ways: touching on themes in the Shack, having plenty of conversation with God, and providing plenty of experiential entry points along the way. Cost: $275.

YHJ Retreat Center \ Spring 2020

Located in Eminence, MO, this retreat will feature outdoor elements requiring some physical ability. Expect fun, reflection, and rejuvenation. Includes: 2 nights of retreat lodging, meals, 3-5 sessions, experiential activities and solo times.

YHJ Retreat Center \ Fall 2020

Just as Mack received an invitation to meet God at the Shack, each participant works to identify what kind of invitation God is putting before them in life by getting real “invitations” to engaging but low-demand activities during the retreat. Expect enjoyable contemplation, rest and opportunity to be active. Includes: 2 nights of retreat lodging, meals, 3-5 sessions, experiential activities and solo times.

Annual Brave the Floor Fundraiser

Brave the Floor is Sacred Space Ministries’ annual fundraiser.

Dance groups and couples propose a dance routine and seek pledges towards that performance at the annual competition.

The competition night begins with open dancing and instruction for everyone. This includes line dancing and English-Country dancing.

The evening continues with the competitors performing their routines for the crowd and a panel of judges. Awards conclude the evening. Come dance, watch and enjoy!
